Vitamin E (Tocopherol)
Type: Vitamin, Antioxidant
Vitamin E is a fat-soluble vitamin that is essential in promoting blood circulation, providing antioxidant support and repairing cell and tissue. Being one of the many antioxidants, it is also well-known for its natural anti-ageing effects as it helps to strengthen capillary walls and improve skin elasticity, thereby lead to a healthy skin.
Common food sources include vegetable oils (e.g. olive, soybean and corn), wholegrains, dark green leafy vegetables (e.g. broccoli and spinach) and legumes.
Symptoms of vitamin E include muscle weakness and impaired body movement control.
There are two main groups of Vitamin E that comes in different chemical forms:
Four Tocopherols - alpha-, beta-, gamma- & delta-; Four Tocotrienols - alpha-, beta-, gamma-, & delta-
