Gotu Kola is part of parsley family, with the leaves and stems used to improve brain function, skin healing and reduce water retention.
Studies have shown that gotu kola is particularly effective in boosting memory and nerve function, therefore is beneficial in improving conditions of individuals suffering from Alzheimers. Studies have also shown that it wound dressing containing gotu kola had better healing effects. Due to its terpenoids content, it can reduce the appearance of stretch marks. Lastly, gotu kola can reduce water retention problems (e.g. ankle/foot swelling) too.
