Beta-glucan
Type: Fiber
Beta-glucan is a type of polysaccharides often found in cell walls of certain plants e.g. Lingzhi. This active component has polysaccharides that are well-known to boost immunity and inhibit cancer cell growth by activating immune cell response quickly, thus preventing infected cells from spreading throughout the body.
Beta-glucan is also a type of soluble fibre, which helps to lower LDL-cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of experiencing heart diseases.
