Apple Fibre

Apple fibre is a dietary fibre found in both the skin and flesh of the fruit. The skin contains mostly insoluble fibre; while the flesh gives most soluble fibre. The insoluble fibre from apple skin does not dissolve in water and passes through our digestive system relatively intact, adding bulk to our stool, promoting regular bowel movements and preventing constipation. It can help maintain healthy digestion and prevent gastrointestinal issues. Due to its high fibre content, apple fibre can also contribute to a feeling of fullness and satiety, which may help control appetite, slowing down the digestion process and reducing the likelihood of overeating.
Apple fibre further acts as a prebiotic, providing nourishment for beneficial bacteria in our gut.
